I don't know how old you are, but these people are NOT funny.

There is currently at Blockbuster a video, The Weather Underground. I recommend it for reasons quite different from those of its producers.

Not at all. This is going to be a throw back election that could, I say could, motivate the young MTV crowd to join in the protest.

Is it time for another Head Bangers Ball? Will CSN&Y be called in to sing their greatest protest hits?

The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,

will not be televised, will not be televised.

The revolution will be no re-run brothers;

The revolution will be live.

Bad people protesting at the RN Convention. Liberals..."recently released from prison". Now how many were arrested at the DN Convention? I believe it was 8. The real story here is that very ugly and hateful people are anti-Conservative.

Yes, but when the radical leftists riot in New York, and the NYPD retores order and arrests the lawbreakers, just listen to the so-called "mainstream" media. They'll point out the eight arrests in Boston at the Democratic convention, and harp on the thousands of arrests in New York at the Republican convention, and try to sow the idea in the peoples' heads that the Republicans were responsible for suppressing speech.

Great call. Just heard the recently fat NADLER, calling the SBVet's liars. He kept repeating it over and over. Dums just don't get it. Just becasue they say something, doesn't make it true.

No they aren't. It's really too bad the Convention is in New York City where the peaceable law abiding folks are disarmed. Well I guess the old line "Get A Rope", would still apply, I don't think they've banned those in NYC yet. Although you might have trouble finding a good hemp rope. And for these folks hemp is the only way to go.

I mean, what are they going to do? Spike the punch with Geritol?

More likely Cialis aka "weekend Viagra".

Seriously though, these folks favored bombs and such, which they are still quite capable of making and deploying.

With Carl Limbacher and NewsMax.com Staff For the story behind the story... Saturday, May 1, 2004 10:57 a.m. EDT Gen. Giap Thanks Kerry & Co. for Anti-war Protests Celebrating the 29th anniversary of the fall of Saigon, the North Vietnamese general who led his forces to victory said Friday he was grateful to leaders of the U.S. anti-war movement, one of whom was presidential candidate John Kerry. "I would like to thank them," said Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap, now 93, without mentioning Kerry by name. "Any forces that wish to impose their will on other nations will surely fail," he added. Reuters, which first reported Giap's comments, suggested that the former enemy general was mindful of Kerry's role in leading some of the highest-profile anti-war protests of the entire Vietnam War. Before the British wire service quoted Gen. Giap, it noted: "The Vietnam War, known in Vietnam as the American War, has become a hot issue in the U.S. presidential race with Democrat John Kerry drawing attention to his service and President Bush's Republicans disparaging Kerry's later anti-war stand." North Vietnamese Col. Bui Tin, who served under Gen. Giap on the general staff of the North Vietnamese army, received South Vietnam's unconditional surrender on April 30, 1975. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal after his retirement, Col. Tin explicitly credited leaders of the U.S. anti-war movement, saying they were "essential to our strategy." "Every day our leadership would listen to world news over the radio at 9AM to follow the growth of the antiwar movement," Col. Tin told the Journal. Visits to Hanoi by Kerry anti-war allies Jane Fonda and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and others, he said, "gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses." "We were elated when Jane Fonda, wearing a red Vietnamese dress, said at a press conference that she was ashamed of American actions in the war," the North Vietnamese military man explained. Kerry did much the same thing in widely covered speeches such as the one he delivered to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April 1971. "Through dissent and protest [America] lost the ability to mobilize a will to win," Col. Tin concluded.

found this, sort of makes the point as to how much blood all these people have on their hands.

the Republicans were responsible for suppressing speech.

The other tried-and-true MSM-speak will be "although Mr. Bush (never 'President Bush') will try to ignore it, the huge number of protestors is a clear sign of just how unpopular his policies are with the grassroots American public".

Indeed. I worked for ITT during that era, and we were one of their favorite targets. We had bomb threats constantly at facilities throughout the world, and sadly several of them were real. Those 60's "peace"niks were are terrorists.

Bernadine is an Associate Professor of Law at Northwestern University law School, last I heard about a year ago. Her husband, Bill Ayers, wrote a book last year and was all over TV promoting it. He said he would do it again, only w/more force, this time.

These folks were the children of wealthy socialist attorneys, ie: Red Diaper Babies. Serving time is a mark of honor in these families.

Bernadine Dohrn is 62. IIRC, she is from Whitefish Bay, WI, then an upper class suburb of Milwaukee. Some of the other weatherpeople are a bit younger, in their mid-late 50s. Mark Rudd teaches math at an ABQ community college. Rudd is still involved in anti-war actions. (via google)

Glad the Feds are watching them all.

As someone who is 61, this is not necessarily elderly, today. Yes, one needs ones' sleep on a more regular basis and probably wouldn't be happy living on pizza and beer and perhaps they have some arthritis, but barring life-threatening conditions, they could easily be training terrorists as we speak. I do physical work on my feet all day and can still swim 1/4 mile in 20 minutes, for example.
