Yes, the democrats refused any further funding of the south vietnamese........

I would have to do some research to get the further facts as that is all I recall.

As General Patton's son said some years later regarding Kerry's testimony before the senate.

THERE ISN'T ENOUGH SOAP TO WASH THE BLOOD OFF KERRY'S HANDS.

One must remember, the so-called "Band of Brothers" traveling with Kerry, providing a backdrop for his speeches and backing him up on these stories have a vested interest in what they are doing.

They are all being financially compensated by the Kerry Campaign and are now celebrities themselves, traveling first-class in limos and private planes, being interviewed by the media and they stand to have really good jobs in a Kerry Administration. There's probably chicks too.

Not rock stars, but not bad for a bunch of old guys.

Gallant was barely on Hannity and Colmes. Instead, where forced to watch stuff about Amber Frey on Hannity and Colmes. Which proves my point. Cable TV is becoming like the tabloids.

Where in the hell were all of you people when the Democrats ran a worthless coward of a draft dodger for President in 92?

I was on the streets of Boston and Ct with my signs.

I don't remember seeing you.

I cannot help you right now, but the number is not tremedously high -- nothing like in Cambodia. Thousands were "re-educated", including a guy that I know who was "re-educated" for a long time, with permanent health and mental consequences. I met him in VN in 1992 and again in '94, and he eventually came to the US in about 1995.

The "re-education" camps were no picnic, and no doubt many died. However, I do not believe there was any wholesale slaughter a la Mao, Hitler, Stalin or Pol Pot. I have seen some conservative commentators allude to a bloodbath in Vietnam after the communist victory in 1975, but I think they are incorrect.

The media wants to play this down as much as possible, but the fact of the matter is, we're talking about the office of the Presidency. I can think of a million reasons to disqualify someone as "fit" to serve as the leader of the FREE world, and Kerry's antics have to be at or near the top (should a man who betrayed his own military be allowed to run the ENTIRE military?)

The media disconnect from logic is breathtaking. My fellow citizens was to write their own death warrants by voting for this fool.

About half a million of military and civilian employees of South Vietnam were re-educated in those camps, some for as long as 10 to 15 years. How many perished in captivity is a mystery that Hanoi has successfully kept from scrutiny. I know of two brothers who were both re-educated. One of them was freed after three years. The family was notified that the other died somewhere near the Camobodian border. His corpse was never found.

Thank you!

This does beg the question.....why did the authorities not pursue this misconduct??

There are some words and names you are not supposed to pronounce correctly, lest you come across as hopelessly effete. Genghis Khan is commonly pronounced with hard "Gs" by regular guys.

I'll bet Kerry even says, "pah-tinah" instead of "pa-tina

Don't ask for a cratique unless you want a critique. I kindly mailed you privately rather than pants you on the open forum. Now that you understand I accept your apology.

Mods, we seem to have an issue on this thread. The post I made at #156 this thread seems to have getitright all riled up.

She freepmailed me a mostly hostile tongue-lashing about the typo's I'd made. To which I freepmailed back, "Fool, don't post to me anymore."

After reviewing the grievous typos, and feeling testy from not yet having my morning coffee I reflected that perhaps others on FR should be made aware of the acerbic response I received. You can see that post at #255.

Posts 272-274 of this thread demonstrate continued inanity and since getitright has taken entirely too much of time already today, I bring it to your attention too.

Getitright, pay attention and THIS TIME don't getitwrong. Stop posting to me.

Thanks mods.

1. You asked for the critique. If you had not asked, I would not have offered.

2. You called me a fool.

3. You suggested that I am off my meds.

I will gladly stop posting to you. Please do the same. Let's let the moderators decide who is crossing the line.

Has anyone else picked up on what that female Democratic stratigist (name unknown) said on Hannity & Combs last night during the discussion with that included a fellow from the National Review. Saw breif note in post 137 on this but nothing else.

Seems she and Sen. Harkins are on the same page. Or did I imagine that she called the President "a coward for not going to Viet Nam". Is she an official representative of Sen Kerry? Or just another bobbing head?

I have not seen any of the media pick up on this or anyone else. Not even Hannity or Combs. Please tell me I'm wrong.

Very appearent where the dirt and slime comes from.
