I said a couple of weeks back that John Kerry was too strange to be President, and a week or two earlier that he was too stuck-up to be President. Since I'm on an alliterative roll, let me add that he's too stupid to be President. What sort of idiot would make the centrepiece of his presidential campaign four months of proud service in a war he's best known for opposing?

Why make 4 months of duty your centerpiece? Very common sense question that an aware Kerry would have noted.
Now, Kerry likes to play the theme "my campaign's falling apart" in many of his election efforts. He did it against Dean, switching campaign directors a number of times.
Then, he waits for the media to set up a stumble for his opponent (the Dean scream), and he gets them to announce how he's "healed" his "campaign problems" and is back on track. (It's never "his" problem -- it's always the "campaign director's" problem.)
So, look for him to go into a "dope on a rope" strategy here real soon.
It is probably easy to be out-of-touch when you have spent your adult life living off someone elses money. And he says he can relate to the middle class?

How cocooned from reality do you have to be to think you can transform one of the most divisive periods in American history – in which you were largely responsible for much of the divisiveness – into a sappy, happy-clappy, soft-focus patriotic blur without anybody objecting? Most Vietnam veterans of my acquaintance loathe John Kerry, and, if he wasn't aware of that, he's too out of it to be President.
I remember coming back to "The World" and being spat at, and denigrated in airports, as I moved to my next duty station.
I remember being attacked in college by the SDS and the VVAW as baby killer, rapist, war criminal, and I also remember listening to John Kerry's testimony in front of the Senate where he demeaned two and one half million American Service personnel.
I wear my Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry and KerryLied t-shirts everywhere I go, handing out cards for the KerryLied rally on 12Sept04 in D.C.
Sen. Kerry, I think you have awakened a terrible memory for a lot of us, and now you are going to pay.
