Add Stupid to His Resume
Daily Telegraph ^ | 24 August, 2004 | Mark Steyn

Posted on 08/24/2004 8:41:26 AM PDT by MtnClimber

I said a couple of weeks back that John Kerry was too strange to be President, and a week or two earlier that he was too stuck-up to be President. Since I'm on an alliterative roll, let me add that he's too stupid to be President. What sort of idiot would make the centrepiece of his presidential campaign four months of proud service in a war he's best known for opposing?

I think he is more of an out of touch elitist than he is stupid. I suppose he is too stupid to realize just how out of touch he is with reality.

especially when he is THE MOST LIBERAL SENATOR that exists.

He ranks even worse than Ted 'the swimmer' Kennedy

Quoting from the article:
"That can happen to rich guys, particularly touchy, thin-skinned rich guys who prefer to surround themselves with yes-men."

Hereby voted The Best Damned Description of John Kerry in 2004!   Congratulations, Mr. Steyn.   : )

Excellent, as usual, for Steyn.

Why make 4 months of duty your centerpiece? Very common sense question that an aware Kerry would have noted.

Now, Kerry likes to play the theme "my campaign's falling apart" in many of his election efforts. He did it against Dean, switching campaign directors a number of times.

Then, he waits for the media to set up a stumble for his opponent (the Dean scream), and he gets them to announce how he's "healed" his "campaign problems" and is back on track. (It's never "his" problem -- it's always the "campaign director's" problem.)

So, look for him to go into a "dope on a rope" strategy here real soon.

It is probably easy to be out-of-touch when you have spent your adult life living off someone elses money. And he says he can relate to the middle class?

Kerry is way out of touch with the average grunt/dogface/swabjockey of VN. He had to be one those 90 day wonders that thought he was a five star admiral. Every outfit seems to have had one.Once out of the Navy he was back living in La-La land with his rich and politically connected friends. I doubt that has a single friend that has military history in his background.

Steyn writes:

How cocooned from reality do you have to be to think you can transform one of the most divisive periods in American history – in which you were largely responsible for much of the divisiveness – into a sappy, happy-clappy, soft-focus patriotic blur without anybody objecting? Most Vietnam veterans of my acquaintance loathe John Kerry, and, if he wasn't aware of that, he's too out of it to be President.

I remember coming back to "The World" and being spat at, and denigrated in airports, as I moved to my next duty station.

I remember being attacked in college by the SDS and the VVAW as baby killer, rapist, war criminal, and I also remember listening to John Kerry's testimony in front of the Senate where he demeaned two and one half million American Service personnel.

I wear my Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry and KerryLied t-shirts everywhere I go, handing out cards for the KerryLied rally on 12Sept04 in D.C.

Sen. Kerry, I think you have awakened a terrible memory for a lot of us, and now you are going to pay.

This is an open invitation to ALL FReepers, veteran or not, Vietnam era or not. Please join us on September 12th as we tell the world that John Kerry was a liar and traitor then, just as he is a liar and traitor now

KERRY LIED . . . while good men died

A gathering of Vietnam veterans from across America

John Kerry told the world we were war criminals who raped, tortured and murdered in Vietnam. Now, thirty-three years later, we will tell America the truth.

Where: Upper Senate Park, Washington, D.C. It is easy to get to, shady and pretty, with a great view of the Capitol dome in back of the speaker's platform. THIS IS A NEW LOCATION AS OF 7/17/04

When: Sunday, Sept 12, 2004 2:00-4:00 PM (EDT)

Why: To tell the truth about Vietnam veterans and to counter the lies told about Vietnam veterans by John Kerry

All Vietnam veterans and their families and supporters are asked to attend. Other veterans are invited as honored guests.

One more thing. If you ever get a chance to go to Soldier's Angels, get the name of a gyrene, dog-face, swabby, or a wing-wiper in Iraq or Afghanistan, and send them a Package From Home.

They will appreciate it, and will like hearing a thank you from an appreciative American.
