John Kerry's ties to 527's

Zach Exley - Former director of special projects for the MoveOn PAC is now the online communications director for the Kerry campaign. He’s also the one who started the Bush cocaine smear in 2000.

Jim Jordan - John Kerry’s former campaign manager is now a spokesperson for America Coming Together, which is helping to sponsor anti-Bush concerts and is famous for using convicted felons to including sex offenders, to try and register voters door to door.

George Soros - A direct contributor John Kerry’s campaign, he has donated literally, tens of millions of dollars to MoveOn.org, ACT, and The Media Fund. He is also the largest contributor to The Center For American Progress, which just happens to back Media Matters Whores For America. The Center for American Progress is run by John Podesta who also is a direct contributor to John Kerry.

ACT was formed by Steve Rosenthal, the former political director of the AFL-CIO, and Ellen Malcolm of Emily’s List, both of whom have contributed directly to John Kerry’s campaign.

Harold Ickes - Former deputy White House chief of staff for Bill Clinton is the head of The Media Fund, another anti-Bush 527. He is also a direct contributor to John Kerry.

Stephen Bing, a Hollywood producer, who in the past has donated money to John Kerry has donated millions of dollars to various 527’s as has Peter Lewis, head of Progressive Insurance.

Environment 2004 is anti-Bush environmental 527 that was started by Bruce Babbitt, Bill Clinton’s former Interior Secretary and Carol Browner, the former head of the EPA. Babbitt has contributed directly to Kerry’s campaign. In fact many of the board members of Environment 2004 are Kerry campaign contributors.

The Center for American Progress is a liberal think tank both lead and created by John Podesta former chief of staff to Bill Clinton. It received a $3 million donation from billionaire George Soros.

Political group paid felons for voter drive
Many canvassed in several states

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A Democratic group working to defeat President Bush has paid felons -- some convicted of sex offenses, assault, and burglary -- to conduct door-to-door voter registration drives in at least three election swing states.


America Coming Together, contending that convicted criminals deserve a second chance in society, employs felons as voter canvassers in major metropolitan areas in Missouri, Florida, Ohio, and perhaps in other states among the 17 it is targeting in its drive. Some of the felons lived in halfway houses, and at least four returned to prison.

America Coming Together, or ACT, canvassers ask residents which issues are important to them and, if they are not registered, sign them up as voters. They gather telephone numbers and other personal information, such as driver's license numbers or partial Social Security numbers, depending on what a state requires for voter registration.

That picture of Kerry with the Lincoln bust is REALLY creepy! In the original version of THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE,the slimy Senator,who is the MC's step father,has busts of Lincoln all over the house,his office,and goes to the costume ball as .....Honest Abe!

It is creepy. And it's also about as subtle as being hit over the head with a 2x4. I have no doubt whatsoever that they were inviting the audience to compare Kerry's unattractive facial features with Lincoln's. You know the old cliche that a man who looked like Lincoln couldn't get elected in the TV age. They were trying to suggest we would be missing out on another Lincoln if we didn't elect Kerry.

It would only work with people who are already predisposed to thinking of Kerry as the 2nd coming of Lincoln. As for the rest of us, we know better.

Now Edwards and Kerry are coming right out and saying that Bush is committing illegal acts as regards the SBV's and their ads.

Where is their proof? Every time I think I've heard the last outrageous act or comment from the Dem's, they manage to pull another one out of their hats. They are masters of propaganda and years from now, even though it will be proven that Bush has not had anything to do with the SBV ads, they will still talk about it as though it were gospel.
