Marijuana Rights Group Uniting Behind Kerry

SEATTLE -- More than 150,000 denizens of the Northwest will gather this weekend in a waterfront park for Hempfest, billed as the largest promarijuana gathering in the country, to listen to speeches from the biggest names in the national drug-law reform movement between band sets and bong hits.

But this year, attendees will hear an explicitly partisan message, too: Organizers are pushing pot smokers to help elect Senator John F. Kerry president.

The size of Hempfest indicates the potential power of the pro-pot vote, particularly in the Northwest, reformers said.

No worries. Come November, most of them will be too wrapped up in hackysack or Scooby-Doo reruns to remember to vote. (or eat, or sleep, or bathe...)

Hmmm.

Radical Homosexuals endorse Kerry.

Korean Kim endorses Kerry.

PotHeads endorse Kerry.

Movie stars endorse Kerry.

I'm starting to see a trend here...

It's a modern day thang as well. Peter Lewis is a big donor to Moveon.org along with George Soros. Peter is a huge enthusiast of the herb and also a large supporter of NORML. Or whatever the doper group is.

Leftist pro-pot groups in the Northwest? Golly gee whiz! Never saw THAT coming!

As if the Dems would ever give up the War On Some Drugs either - it would take too much power away from the State.

Liberals are idiots. "Useful Idiots", that is.

Actually, libertarians that I know LOATHE Kerry. There's no statist pig like a left-liberal statist pig. (No insult to our porcine friends intended - they're quite tasty) Hard Libertarians may be idealistic, but regular (small-L) libertarians aren't fools.
