You have it exactly. You have nuanced Kerry's report.
Wish I said it better in my post. (I just called it adjusting for Kerry's lies.)
I still want to see the citation for rice in the butt. And as much as I like Jean Fraud, I hope it was long grain rice.
The integrity required for them to run a correction is the same sort of integrity that wouldn't have needed a correction to have to be run in the first place.
Five boats clustered in the river for 90 minutes. If charlie was in the area he sure as hell wasn't doing much. Five targets for 90 minutes should have drawn a lot of attention. The fact that they didn't speaks volumes. Add to that the fact that Kerry's boat was the only one to cut and run after the first mine explosion, and you have to ask yourself how this adds up to a Bronze Star for Kerry.
I was thinking more like RICE O RONI for the PHONY.
Print out and wear as a Campaign Button or go HERE to print.
True; but so frickin 'Alan typical' and SOP no doubt, for all 'card carrying members' of this Party.
They have points to make; to score; and truth is not part of the 'program'; ever. . .
Yep, the Bronze Star became known and the Everyman's Star.
I have contacted the blogger and suggested that he come to the post and read the responses.
I left a message at his site to send to NYT. I know that Hugh Hewitt and Instapundit read him, as well as Captains Quarters.
Maybe you all can go to his site and leave a message at the post.
I just dug out my brother's DD214. Under Decorations, medals, Badges, Commendations, it lists:
Combat Infantryman Badge
National Defense Service Medal
Vietnam Campaign Medal
Vietnam Service Medal w/Bronze Service Star
He also received the Army Commendation Medal, although it isn't listed on his DD214. I have a copy of the original order listing him, along with several other people in his unit that received it.
When you say that the Army awarded the Bronze Star to most soldiers who received the CIB, do you mean the Bronze Service Star that goes with the Vietnam Service Medal, or do you mean the separate Bronze Star medal?
Bill O'Reilly said today on radio that the truth would never be found and the whole thing should be forgotten. He predicted (again!) that it will soon be forgotten. Well, once again his alligator mouth has got his canary ass in trouble. He should stick to exposing all-white proms.
Bill O'Reilly would love for this to go away so Kerry can have clear sailing. In his dreams!
Why anyone would read Jayson Blair's NYT is beyond me - they are all liars and waterboys for the Kerry campaign.
John O'Neil said that tonight on WHP radio in Harrisburg live.
You should really get to talk with him. That would be great.
The boats split up for a bit. 43 & 3 went one way, 94 & 52(51?) another, I see no mention of what 23 was doing at that time.
What was the number of Thurlow's boat?
The boat was taken to the USS Krishna on the 14th.
McQ should get a medal or something for this report.
This was not stupidity or careleseness on the part of the Times' editorial staff. It was outright calculated jounalistic deception.
It's obvious that they called in a few of their "military experts" to decipher all those confusing initials and to explain it to the copy people just the way McQ is explaining it for us.
The NYTimes is absolutely shameless when it come to saving Kerry's butt--they hate President Bush that much.
Might want to send a copy of this analysis to Brit Hume--add him to all the other sources mentioned.
Brit loves to stick it to the slimy Times on Special Report with Brit Humes every chance he gets.
And apparently mission operational again under a new OinC on the 17th or 18th
According to O'Neil, this action occured the day prior to the mine. I have heard him say this several times. I wonder if we can determine the day and time of each incident.
