The article that I read about the connection was written by a Democrat, who was working for the DNC at the time. He said that the only connection was that the DNC had hired Kerry to speak to young people about the importance of voting and that Kerry had done so. The writer saw nothing wrong with that, but that's typical Democrat thinking. Teddy and his buddies had created a monster and it was getting a little out of control. My guess is that the DNC told Kerry to get out of the VVAW, but he dragged his feet a little too long, trying to milk every drop of publicity out of the group.
Believe me, the Clintons have not appropriated the Kerry campaign. They want JFK to lose and open the doors for Queen Hillary in 2008. However, the Democratic dirty tricks squad is available to the Kerry camp, led by Terry Lenzer, the Harvard Law grad-turned-Washington P.I. who's been at the forefront of every DNC dirt-digging and smear campaign over the past 15 years. I'm sure Lenzer led the charge in preparing the "Brown Book" against the Swifties...

You're right. I only hope the 'sheeple' get that before Election Day. He had it in his mind back then that he was going to be president someday. Every democrat who runs now is a slimeball, IMHO.
The Swifties are taking the heat which is great. They are once again standing up to defend their country. They're warriors. It's a complete distraction for the Kerry campaign and keeps them off message. It keeps it in the public eye. Kerry can't win this fight,.. even if he scores points, he loses.
Thanks for the link. Very interesting read. I wonder what has happened with her oldest son. Don't hear much from him. I bet he is voting Republican and is a supporter of Bush. I just can't understand how she can go from John Heinz to John Kerry.
