I'm a cyclist, used to live in Houston, and also used to fuss at a lot of the other "cyclists", not just the anarchist types, but also Houston Bicycle Club as well. I was on a training ride (BTW, I race) north of Magnolia when I ran across an HBC group that were riding three abreast, 10 mph, not moving aside when I called "car back". Later, at a store stop in Richards, the group rolls in, takes cookies and drinks from the support van, and goes into the store to use the plumbing without buying anything. The the group leader Bill Cameron rolls in, gets in my face about threatening his group (?!?!?!?!). Calls my team sponsors. To this day there is nothing but animosity between the racers and "tourists", the latter with the attitude "How dare you be able to go faster than anyone else". How socialistic.

And sure, cars get pissed off when a huge group of bikes block lanes and run reds

On warm summer weekend afternoons I have seen large groups of motorcyclists doing this in Ohio. Huge trains of them will come along. If they are going to get split by a changing light several of them will break off and block cross-traffic after the light changes so that they can stay unified. So bicyclists aren't the only sinners.

I bike along the roads, and try not to be a jackass about it. I religiously stay to the right rather than blocking cars. I cautiously approach intersections, again staying to the right, because sometimes cars turn without signaling.

"Bring the war home," went a slogan for the Weather Underground.

I know that riding your bike through a red light is not even remotely like the tactics of the Weathermen or their scumbag allies, but since these folks have invoked the Weathermen and admire their views, I would like to take this opportunity to post a warning.

The Weather Underground were terrorists, and worked for our enemies.

In other words, they were enemy combatants.

I will consider any person who today uses their tactics, or anything remotely like those tactics, to be an enemy combatant.

If an enemy combatant shows up in range of me, I will kill him.

I will not hesitate.

I am not kidding.

I am not bloviating.

I will not miss.

Anarchists or any others who turn to violence in our streets as a means of "protest" will get a free trip to Hell, and they won't need a Weatherman to know what the temperature is down there.

From their perspective, it would be the only prudent thing to do.

Certainly. That's why we and China nuked Russia in 1992 during the Kremiln Klutz Klan Koup-de-tat. That's why Russia nuked Pakistan when they had a coup.

Bring the war home," went a slogan for the Weather Underground. Similarly, Fugazi said, "There will be two wars."

This group is part of Kerry's camp from the beatnik days. They bomb buildings. They've threatened to do it in NY.

On the last Friday of every month, Critical Mass converges at City Hall, and any and everyone into bikes is invited. Then we take to the streets and, spontaneously, ride where-ever and however we want. And sure, cars get pissed off when a huge group of bikes block lanes and run reds...but how do you think we feel when were surrounded by cars, exhaust, and the threat of getting run off the road?!?

Pissing off American voters will get their democrat politicians lots of votes - NOT!
These left wing air heads have a political death wish.

Yes, it would break down red/blue. And it would be similar to the last civil war: the red states would have better soldiers and better generals - just like last time, the warfighting army personnel disproportionately come from red states.

And let's not forget that there would be fighting within the Blue States. If there were a civil war and Illinois was on the side of the Leftscum, my only question would be whether I should join the volunteer regiment marching on Springfield or the regiment marching on Chicago. In Illinois it has taken the third biggest city in the US and it's suburbs to balance out the conservatism of the rest of the state, and we would be on the march, and we'd have all the guns.

Now, to some extent, this would be repeated in some of the Red States where the metro areas went big for Gore but were overwhelmed by the rest of the population.

What I think we might actually see (perhaps even this November, especially if it's close) is something like the Seattle riots, only with guns, and in every major city. It would not be a real Civil War, and would be easily put down compared to the Confederacy. In fact, it might only be a matter of days or weeks. Anarchists talk tough, but I can't see them as a major combat force, and what great military minds are they going to get to lead them: Gavin Newsome? Maxine Waters? Oh, I know: Max Cleland and Ron Kovic!

Also note that unless "the revolution" starts out virtually violence free and has a very strong propaganda argument (like a razor thin election that somehow looks stolen) 99% of the liberals serving in our armed forces will not go over to the other side, because they will not view rioting in the streets as defense of the Constitution. They will back the legitimate system, and that puts almost all the guns all the military weapon systems and all the trained troops on our side.

It wouldn't be based upon states, it would be based upon electoral district.
