Let's also not forget about Kerry requesting a deferrment in order to go to France, and then following-up his non-combat tour on the Gridley with his volunteering for the non-combat Swift Boat program. It was only after he requested an assignment with them that their operations were changed from coastal patrol to river duty. Kerry is on the public record stating that he was trying to avoid combat by getting into the SBs.
However, Lt. George W. Bush volunteered, according to an eyewitness account by one squadron mate, for Operation Palace Guard, which would have put him in combat in Vietnam.
So, while the future president was saying 'send me to Vietnam,' Kerry was saying 'send me...to France'!

this is the only piece i havent disputed too often. can anybody here shed some light on it? as the libs put it..he went ahead of a few hundred applicants. how can we dispute this?
And the DNC indicates they will DUMP this AWOL info on the public as their October surprise?

This guy better quit complaining about Bush's AWOL, lying swifties, etc., because the more he protests, the more he seems to be giving others insight on his own behavior.

It's such a familiar feeling..."my" fulltime anti-American Pentagon protestor's been missing a few days, so I haven't had the chance to taunt her, and it's like I haven't had my coffee.

First, ask to see some evidence. Secondly, remind them that the whole basis for this is a comment allegedly made by a dead Democrat politician who supposedly did a favor for George H.W. Bush. So, just remind the person that there is more substantial evidence that Kerry committed treason (aid to the enemy in the form of propaganda material; collaborating with N.V. officials in Paris and then asking for the US to honor N.V. requests for a cease-fire) during a time of war, for which he could have been executed, than there is for this "using daddy" garbage.
I know what you mean; but I've been avoiding my husband's parents like the plague; there's gonna be a fight! Lucky for me, I have the facts and they don't!
