Apparently, according to Gardner, Kerry was either asleep or not paying attention to the radar

JF'nK "Jenjis" must have been sitting on his Khan or sniffing something.

That interview was one of the best I have ever heard in my life. Roger got the facts and repeated them several times for verification.

Gardner or is it Garner had better watch his behind.

The sanpan incident in a nutshell:

Swift boat positioned in a ambush position on enemy resupply route. Gardner was the Gunner aboard, Kerry was in the pilot house looking at radar. Sanpan snuck up on them (Kerry must have been asleep, my words) and when the Gunner first saw them the Man aboard reached for a weapon, Gardner opened fire, killing the man and the man's son, a boy who was under and behind the man. They took a woman and her son prisoner and then dropped them off (did not hear where).

Kerry's report said 4 VC Killed and 2 prisoners taken. Kudos from above. This is the report that Gardner NEVER KNEW EXISTED until 6 weeks ago.

This guy is awesome....and he is just what the rats were asking for someone who was actually "on the boat".It's going to be interesting to see how they try and spin this one.

Like this:

[Reporter]: Mr. President, are you going to condemn Steve Gardner's statements about John Kerry?

[Pres. Bush]: I condemn all negative statements.

[Reporter]: But why won't you condemn Mr. Gardner's statements specifically?

Can you imagine the dirt the rats will throw at this guy, they have to defame him quick or they could get mortally wounded this time.

All the leftist media "commentators/DNC spokemen" on the tv and radio should be asked 1) have you seen or had access to the DNC "Brownbooks", 2) what do you know about the dissemination of the said "Brownbooks and 3) if you have answered affirmatively on either previous question, will/have you used the information in any manner?

Of course they can just lie, but it would be an "insult" to them to just be asked as the questioner believes that they are close enough to the DNC to be thought of as a "friendly" newsman and therefor a shill.

the RNC needs to put him on the podium

You mean like Kerry put on Rassman?

Never happen. The GOP would rather talk policy-wonk stuff rather than character. Bill Clinton forever knocked them off of that trail. They'd rather take the "high road" rather than the truth. That way, they won't get criticized at all their cocktail parties and by the Washington Post and New York Times!

where the VC guy

Do we know for sure they were VC? They could have been on either side unless it came out later in questioning the survivors.

Gardner interview was devestating for Kerry. If he didn't see these reports until six weeks ago, I wonder if the guys supporting Kerry have seen them. Could change some minds if they did.

Gardner fully expects them to. He doesn't sound worried.

From today's ABC THe Note:
We wonder, after Ginsberg's big, fast press tour: how much soul searching is going on in newsrooms over his allegations of media bias?

Well, first, in the media mind, the allegations of media bias were false. So, there is no soul-searching, rather an attempt to develop a "credible excuse" or cover up.
