Damn. Ft. Bragg is always a dangerous place.
Oh, man! 2/504 PIR bump.
Prayers for all of my brothers at Bragg.
Not in Iraq.
This is significant for America to understand. The combined death toll of training accidents, auto accidents, other accidents, homicides, and suicides is actually about the same as the current death toll in Iraq.
Gotta check on my brother - thanks for posting this.
There was a freeper posting that her daughter was in this group yesterday, I believe. Prayers for all our young protectors.
Ten bucks says this involved an "eighty-pac." Anyone got a pic?
the 505... my friend is out training... oh, prayers to them... oh my goodness.
Just being on Ft. Bragg is a dangerous thing. And that's not even mentioning Fayetteville.
They have been doing field stuff all month. I know his division went out yesterday after a jump. Worry about them so much and now I have to worry until either a phone call or he shows back up.
Just read the piece -- it was an LMTV. Maybe a bit overloaded w/25 pax? Who am I to speculate. H-Minus.
I hope everything is OK. Keep me posted.
Prayers to the 82ND Airborne. America's Guard of Honor!
Prayers going out. It sounds like they had an accident with the cattle car.
That's no joke. I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but drinking alcohol is absolutely prohibited for U.S. military personnel in Iraq. We figured that it was probably a net gain for the Army's casualty rate in having us face IEDs rather than drunk driving. (Granted, I'd still rather take my chances against the latter).
I've neglected to check since we got back, but I'm still curious to check what the normal peacetime rate of deaths in the military is versus what it is now. I honestly doubt there is much of a difference.
prayers for all and their families
82nd has instituted a zero tolerance policy on drinking and driving. If you have one drink, you cannot drive, period.
Prayers sent to all involved, as well as family and friends. God bless them all.
yeah my hubby's in the 505. i hadn't heard about this!!!
