It is unfortunate that this bloc of voters with strong conservative values is clustered in California where their impact will not be sufficient to swing the state in the Presidential election. However, their unity will give them a stronger voice in state government in the years to come. Hopefully, they will become role models for many of the immigrants from Mexico and other Latin American countries vis a vis the ability to make positive changes through the Republican Party.

John Kerry always has those folks who became Vietnamese-Americans shooting at him in his fictional war stories. It makes one wonder who was in Kerry's cross-hairs while he was there.

Maybe the Vietnamese in California will be like the Cubans in Florida -- a voting bloc with influence beyond raw numbers. It's a very close-knit community. Dare we hope...
