NYC doesn't have a police force - its more like a small army. they will control this.
There's an old story about the NYPD and demonstrations. You have a thousand demonstrators. In ten minutes the NYPD has turned them into five groups of 200. Ten minutes later they've become 50 gorups of 20. By the end of 30 minutes they're 1000 individuals wondering what the hell they're doing there in the first place.
Friday night the NYPD let the 250 bike nuts roam Manhattan, They opened barricades on 34th Street to let them in. The barricades closed behind them and several hundred cops emerged in front to arrest about 150 of the bikers. The outrage among the demonstrators was palpable, but no one was hurt. The cops in NYC are not easily flustered and I don't think these agitators really have the stones to try to fluster them.
Good point. NYPD is nearly 40,000 strong. They can and will put this rabble down if they have to.
