Soon to approach "This Land" or "Bad American" status..;-)
Did you know that less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.
I'd like to see the terrorist who could stand up to Frank!
Does anybody know which way the chairman of the board leaned? I've got photos of Sinatra (and Sammy Davis Jr., too) at the '72 convention in Miami. I wouldn't have guessed they--being in the entertainment industry--would have been Republican supporters. Anybody know for sure?
for many hours this web site has not been available. Anybody know why?
read the following verses while listening to Frank sing to you (by clicking either "real audio" or "MP3")...

Come On Sing Along Now |
Strangers on my flight, turbans they're packin'. Wonderin' if they might, plan a hijacking. They could pull stunt, before this flight is through. Something's on their minds. I saw them mutter. What that in their hands? Looks like box cutters, I'm gonna kick some ass, if they make a move. Strangers on my flight. Two smelly people, and they're not talking right; and in a moment, I will grab a baseball bat; and that will be that. Swing like Joe DiMaggio, and rip them both a new a-hole. And if they pick a fight, and try to screw us, I'll punch out their lights, just like Joe Louis. It would feel so right, for strangers on my flight. Ratta Tat Tat Tat, Budda Bing Bang Boom, Zooma Zooma Zoom. Send those bastards to the moon.... |
