I sympathize with gay folks who certainly do have certain disadvantages compared to straights. However, conservative policies (that the Log Cabin Pubs probably label "homophobic") merely demand that homosexual behavior and/or identity remain private.

Gays (at least the ones who don't parade around their "alternate lifestyle" like a weeping sore) have it no harder than your typical single person. Big deal. I was a bachelor for nearly 12 years. I survived.

I don't even care if it's private or if someone is a flaming queer - just don't try to make me support your deviant lifestyle via my taxes, or try to take away my right to speak out against it.
