You and Lucretia drive carefully. I'm not too far behind for bed.

And who would believe that Sadr would keep his word about anything? Thanks, Seven, for the update.

...for he wore them even on his fatigues, in violation of all regulations.
I've seen those pictures. I didn't realize until now that he was in violation of regs to wear medals on his fatigues though!
While I'll in no way be voting by default, knowing that such are the values of somebody who's supposedly an "intellectual (self-proclaimed war hero) with class," the choice is easy:
[Kerry] is not fit for command.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern! Power is still out for most folks in that area, so we may be a few days hearing from some of them. I hope all are well. VCU is opening at 12:30 p.m. according to their website, and I suspect that may change if things haven't dried out and roads aren't cleared. Older daughter, graduate student, has power back. Younger daughter, undergrad student, won't get back to her apartment until later today so I don't know if they have power back there yet. But both are safe and well. Again, thank all of you for your well wishes and prayers. As they say around here (hillbillyonics), I've got to git....

Today's FEEBLE
YOKE :
Two elderly Wal-Mart greeters were sitting on a bench during break time and one turns to the other asking, "Radix, I'm 73 years old and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you are about my age. How do you feel?'
Radix says, " I feel just like a new born babe."
Rather amazed his coworker repeats his statement in the form of a question, "Really? A new born babe???"
"Yup", grins Radix, " No teeth, No hair and I think I just wet my pants."
