Susan Estrich gave it an "F". All because she hates him over his divorce several years ago, apparently.
In a sure sign that the Kerry campaign does realize that they are in deep trouble, Woodruff just interviewed a journalist about rumors that there might be a big shakeup at the top of the Kerry campaign.
Among other things, the journalist said that some Kerry supporters thought that of all sports, it was a big blunder to show Kerry on vacation this week doing his elite windsurfing thing, as opposed to something more traditionally middle-class.
I loved Guiliani's speech. The seriousness of 9/11 plus some humor about the President and completely skewering Kerry - but in a humorous way. He did a masterful job.
It's going to hurt the Dims really bad when their "A" Game gets trounced by the Republicans' "C" and "B" (and even worse with more "reviews") Games.
Just another reason why the MSM is circling the bowl...
I'm sure Rudy is all busted up about some liberal pinhead giving him a "C".
Beinart is a regular on Hugh Hewitt's radio show. The guy is a lunatic and Hugh tries to keep him rational, which is impossible. Beinart's still pushing the Christmas in Cambodia story for Kerry. LOL
I can hardly wait to hear what Hugh has to say about this little screed by old Pete.
Beinart could also use some voice lessons -- irritating little voice.
I think he may have been too focused on the content (he's good a ad-libbing and speaking from memory), but didn't seem comfortable with stopping for the applause periodically...
So forgive me if it's harsh...the message was perfection for the intended audience, but the delivery, IMHO, needed some polish.
McCain, the same thing, but he'd get an A for delivery for seizing the moment, and repeating it, on Michael Moore...a galvanizing moment.
I think this merits having both speeches played in full on all the alphabet networks in prime time, so that the people can see just how mediocre they are!
I noticed that the TNR site is really hewing the (Dem) party line this week. Too bad - sometimes they actually have something good to say, but they destroy their credibility with garbage like this.
Rudy has no foreign policy experience?
Clinton's only foreign policy experience was smoking weed at Oxford. Where was the criticism then?
Hmmmmm, I wonder what grade Beinart gave, say...Edwards, who is famous for his "foreign policy expertise". Oh wait. He's not.
On the other hand, Rudy Guiliani worked us through a history lesson that was brilliant.
