not real...... but pretty.

That's a lot too big for my taste........but I could make an exception.

A handful is just enough. ;-)

I can't ever remember a vice presidential candidate as unqualified as Edwards

I guess you don't remember "Who am I and why am I here?"

I agree somewhat with your post. I think the majority of the coming media storm against Kerry was signaled by Hannah Storms accusation this morning that Kerry is hiding behind Edwards and others by sending them out to defend him and not standing up for himself.

When is the last time Kerry did an open interview or anything resembling a press conference? He has not done so in MONTHS. He will not, and can not make himself available to the press because he knows questions about Vietnam and his anti-war actions will be fired at him with both barrels.

While Kerry is their man of choice, his flat out refusal to participate in the campaign himself is really starting to piss them off.

I think the current events in the world of terrorism (the Russian planes and school, the Nepalese murders, etc.) are really waking people up to realize the war on terror isn't a joke and needs to be fought with resolve, not sensitivity.

America needs to be reminded over and over and over that John Kerry said that President Bush has exaggerated the threat of terrorism.

Although I agree with the thrust of your comment, for the sake of accuracy I'll mention that it was Matt Lauer on the Today Show who made that comment, not Hannah.

I would love it if that AOL poll last month was a dream come true. It depicted Bush winning a 48 state landslide, carrying even Kerry's own home state of MA. Kerry won only VT and CT. I'd be tickled pink if it was a 50 state sweep. Don't laugh. Stranger things have have happened than we have seen and America is still a land full of surprises.

I've been hoping for the same thing :0)

It may be just a dream ... but it's a good goal to shoot for

I've also noticed that the MSM is starting to turn on Kerry/Edwards. I've seen this before, when the loser in the upcoming election becomes obvious, but never this early in the game.

I think that maybe they sense a Bush blowout and an overwhelmingly Republican senate, perhaps giving rise to a new fairness doctrine. That would really make their day! ;)

I never advocate complacency and underestimating the enemy, and we have to caution ourselves that during a convention, you 'crowd' out the other sides story, so things look better than they will when both sides have their say. but ...

if this is the best they can do, KEdwards are indeed blowing it. They put all their money on 16 weeks in Vietnam, and the swift vet croupier is now cashiering that whole line. Hannity yesterday talked about a 'runaway', partly on the lines of this whole swift vet stuff... What kerry SHOULD HAVE DONE is what Ferrarro DID DO in 1984, have a 'lay it all out there' press conference. Tell the truth, and dont let the ball get away from you.

Kerry cant do that, it seems, and leaves the impression that swiftees are telling te truth. ... the end result though is that KERRY NO LONGER CONTROLS THE STORY, like he could in a press conference (he doesnt control the questions, but controls the answers). But what's his backup???? Funny, we find Kerry really doesnt have one: We was "war hero" and "ABB". He is left with the hulking carcass of a justification for becoming president.

Bush has been CinC for the Global War on Terror for 3 years, 24/7. He hasnt shirked his duty like Kerry did on the intel committee. Bush "Global War on Terror Hero" and "Anyone But Kerry" is far more compelling. Bush made one decision based on bad intelligence; Kerry's been trying to defund intelligence to make it bad for decades.

The liberal media are like sharks--they can smell blood in the water a mile away--and they will attack even their own (the 'scoop' mentality) when they observe weakness in a politican whose Swift Boat is sinking swiftly.
