Maybe she just graduated to bona fide journalist.
Yeah, right. Even if this did make sense, I doubt that it would include the Phoenix and Sparrow missle systems that he voted against. Morons.
Maybe he's nervous that Edwards will faint, and Cheney would have to administer CPR on live national TV.
Barely beats giving CPR to a hamster!!!
At least the hamster isn't likely to try to kiss back.
If I was a dem I would ask him why he hasn't responded in first person. Arrogant bastard that he is.
To borrow from many others : If he cannot stand tall and speak for himself during an election, how is he going to play hard ball with the terrorists? He has put a political coalition for this election. And when the heat is on, he hides and sends members of his "coalition" out to fight. That's not a leader. That is someone who want to be President for his own ego, not someone who has the interests of this great nation at heart.
With all due respect to my fellow posters, I don't think this has anything to do with the MSM being disgusted with how Kerry/Edwards have responded to the Republicans. The "Machine" is cranking up, and she's sending out the word to start turning up the heat on Kerry/Edwards so as to influence voters toward Bush even more. If MSM had been given the word to continue with the softball questions to Edwards, that's the way it would be going. I STILL believe Kerry is not supposed to win this election...and we all know why.
To "governs...": You're the BEST!!
I can't ever remember a vice presidential candidate as unqualified as Edwards. Do you think the general public will grasp this fact?
I totally agree. Big Media has been in trouble for years. Newspaper circulation is down, Network News is fading, TV anchors are aging -- MSM is in trouble no matter how you look at it.
Now, normally, MSM would gladly carry the water for the Dems. But Kerry is inept, and so clearly a loser that MSM is re-thinking: Hey, we have problems of our own. Do we throw away the rest of our credibility trying to prop up a lost cause? Or do we act like journalists and hope to preserve our own way of life a little longer?
I predict widespread media disaffection with Kerry very shortly. Dem turnout will be historically low. Senate races will benefit strongly.
Governor
George W. Bush(I) REP 2,550,821 68.23%
Garry Mauro DEM 1,165,592 31.18%
Lester R. 'Les' Turlington, Jr. LIB 20,711 0.55%
Susan Lee Solar W-I 954 0.02%
----------- Race Total 3,738,078
Maybe Mauro was a weak candidate but even so 68% of the vote is more than double his opponents and is as close to a wipeout as you get these days.
There are none so blind :)
Hmm, interesting. I hadn't considered the Hildebeast Factor.
And thanks for the compliment!
I thought it was very telling that Edwards got relegated to a desert island on the Today Show with his interview coming 45 minutes into the show.
JMO, but it seems that Sen. Miller's and VP Cheney's speech were successful and the producers just gave up in trying to spin them.
Maybe a "Fox" in the future? Fair AND Balanced!....
Some in MSM are starting to get it, like Zell Miller. Kerry and Edwards are totally imcompetent and haven't got a clue. If elected and they stuff it up, America and the rest of the World we have to pay for their mistakes for at least a decade.
And this was in a year in which the GOP lost House seats for the first time in an off-year election since 1934.
Well, let's keep an eye on her and see if this is a trend or just a pleasant aberration.
Excellent analysis, IMHO.
I just noticed that the Green Party candidate's last name was, fittingly, "Solar." Nickname "Energy," I presume?
