There's a reason we watched C-SPAN's coverage of the convention, and that's so we don't have to listen to the blatherings of the lamestream media. Neverthelss, we happened upon MSNBC just in time to hear Chrissie Matthews whining that Kerry hadn't responded months ago to the attacks on his Vietnam lies, and he had to do so immediately. He was almost pleading, begging Kerry to follow his instructions. J.C. Watts was sitting there, the shock and disbelief on his face evident.
Sounds like the MSM is already constructing their post-mortem of the race: Kerry had it in the bag, until the meanies from the Swift Boats turned up. Then Kerry blew it by failing to respond, uh, swiftly enough.
What a devastating jab. Not only is he criticizing Kerry's failure to respond, he is essentially calling him a coward for hiding behind the skirts of non-veteran Edwards.
Edwards gave a pitiful response about Kerry "wanting to take America to a better place," blah, blah, blah, and how it was "a sign of character" not to have responded. Huh?

Hannah Goes For Gonads. :~)
Other than that, how do you feel about Kerry? ;-)
Up is down (Kerry/Edwards).
Down is up (Bush/Cheney)
Headline I thought I'd never see: CBS BLASTS JOHN EDWARDS!
This serves a couple of purposes. First, Hannah just dropped trow to prove she has more in the coglioni department than Krissy Matthews and hence can make a case for getting her own gig as a cable talking head.
Secondly, the Hillary strategery is becoming manifest. One doesn't have to believe that the Hildabeast is pulling all the strings to believe that people are acting on her behalf (see Koch's explicit comments in this regard). It becomes clear enough to anyone like Hannah Storm that Kerry/Edwards is expendable in pursuit of the larger goal of putting Hillary in position for '08. No one has to give her a secret memo.
No matter how you slice those 1998 Texas governor election results they are eyepopping and were the launch pad to national politics and the Presidency for W.
I can't stand that East Coast snob that I watched as a kid smear my two uncles. One who at the time of Kerry's 71 testimony was in a Hospital recovering from being shot up by VC.
I'll never forgive or forget the treatment he dished out towards those boys or the venom he helps milk that was stuck in them when they returned by a bunch of spoiled cowards that Today are unfortunately running alot of Institutions today in America.
And John Edwards is simply a little *ussy that hides behind a law degree.
Hers are bigger than the Breck Girl's.
The Clintons are still the main political power brokers, and Hillary will get her chance in four years. Kerry is a mess. No strategy, no plans, no charisma...only saber-rattling and multiple photo ops demonstrating his silver spoon. He is completely out of touch with the Average Joe who has to budget to go to the movies, or keep track of his cellphone minutes [hello, Alan! :)]
Most democrats I know are curiously silent right now. The few hardcore liberals I encounter are diehard "Anybody But Bush". I'm actually expecting a Bush landslide.
Mostly everyone else in the media saw Zell's speech and they know better.
The situation in Russia is a stark reminder that there are people out there who want us dead, and promising them hope, as Edwards suggested this morning, is not the answer.
If they throw him off their show, so be it.
He owes it to himself and his family to speak up.
They have been AWOL
"You know, I was saying to the Aga Khan just last year as we windsurfed off Sardinia that the little people just don't understand how demanding and dangerous this is."
The media foisted Edwards on Kerry and now they're reaping what they sowed.
Man oh man!...that is a classic! A true classic!
BUMP!
