At the beginning of his speech when Bush honored and thanked Cheney, Cheney looked like he could've cried. I just thought of two warriors covering each others' backs. It was touching.

Never thought of it that way, though. It can well explain part of the emotion I feel when I am in the midst of this type of relationship.
