Is it possible the pubbies recognized the weakened state of the MediaCrats after they failed to cover up the Swiftees?
Can it be that the pubbies decided THIS is the moment to aggressively go after bias in the media, not just whine about it?!
I think we're watching a planned P.R. offensive on the part of Republicans. There have been to many of these punch-backs for it to just be a coincidence. This could be BIG!

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the protection you have given to our patriotic Americans gathered in New York City this week, we thank you for the many blessings of living in this Great Nation. We lift our hands and praise You, the Almighty God, the God of All Creation, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel, the God who led Moses to the Promised Land. Father, may Your hand be upon Madison Square Garden this evening and upon our President, George W. Bush, the most powerful man in this beautiful and miraculous world you have created, a man among men, a man who does not shirk responsibility nor shy from danger, yet a man who is meek in Your Presence, a man who loves Your Son Jesus, who seeks Your face. Today we pray Your will may be his will, that his words will grace the needs of the people and uphold the highest ideals of this Nation, that he will speak his heart and not just politics, that righteousness will flow through him from You to the Spirit of the people. That Your Holy Spirit will move through the room and through the Nation as a mighty rushing wind, cleansing, renewing and uplifting. We pray that your warrior angels will be posted as sentries, as a circle of protection to deflect harm and any attempted works of Lucifer. The conventions have put the two sides in such close proximity to each other that the dislike of the ideas from each side, if not the participants themselves, is making for some great fireworks..
All I know is that if Ron R. talked to me in a condescending manner while placing his hand on my arm or shoulder, I'd break it.
There IS something going on; I can't quite put it all together, but there is something in the back of my mind that just won't "jell yet," if you will.
In my life, I have never ever seen the liberal/elites this upset. Yes, outraged; it's almost like they believe that the GOP isn't playing its assigned role in the big scheme of politics, the one where they maintain that they hold the moral high ground and we are the mean-spirited interlopers.
I think that maybe, just maybe they are beginning to understand that the public is NOT paying attention to them; and they're use to shaping the discussion.
There IS some kind of "plan" here. I just can't figure it out yet.
I think that those of us who grew up in the fifties as conservatives and were taught not to be rude to people, even if they were "stupid" -- are not keeping quiet any longer.
I am no longer letting people think I condone what they think by remaining silent. I am answering back. Loudly!
