No. Thats how many Republicans it takes to prepare a grave in the tundra for a Rat. They have to dig really deep to get him home quicker.

Very glad to hear that Republican internals are looking good for Thune. I was at a fundraiser for Sen. Conrad Burns in MT recently, and when he heard I am originally from SD and that my dad is a rancher there, he bent my ear for a while to make sure I was doing my part for Thune. He had just done a fundraiser for him the week before.
This is definitely a winnable race for Thune. I heard the on-line recording of the debate at Agfest, and I thought Thune was spot-on. I can't tell you how grateful I am to him for being willing to run again after the way the election was stolen from him against Johnson.

A Zell Miller visit would indeed be a stroke of genius -- the president needs to visit too on one of his trips to Iowa. Miller has shown a willingness to cross one Senate colleague, what's one more? This is definitely a winnable race, and nothing would deflate the Dems so much as to have both Kerry and Daschle lose.

These are very, very liberal Republicans who are pro-abortion and pro-gay marriageDown here in Ga we call these people Liberal Democrats, and the fact that they support Daschle makes me wonder what exactly makes them think they are Republicans even in name only?

""These are very, very liberal Republicans who are pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage," ... Too bad Dasshole's parents weren't pro-abortion....
This election may be the last chance South Dakota gets to demonstrate their sanity...

No surprise, Pubbies have been voting for him all along. How do you think he could be a senator from a red state. Count the red states on the electoral map from 2000 and times it by 2. Thats how many conservatives should be in the senate. What is it 65 or 70 in total if you look at it that way? But no conservative states have Dasshole, and we barter with Chaffee and the two lib sisters from Maine.

Two very important things not mentioned in this article are:
1)The Daschle campaign sent a mailer out to 10,000 GOP households which, in effect, said "Your name is being added to the list of Republicans For Daschle. Please send back this card declining if you do not wish to be included in the list." This means that they culled these 3,700 names from those who forgot to mail it back, lost it in the mail stack, or tossed it the moment they saw Daschle's name. Incredibly disengenuous.
2)Don Frankenfeld is a trial lawyer, and is the head of the trial lawyers association, and his livelyhood is directly connected to Daschle staying in power.

"I thought South Dakota was too far north and too cold a climate for Rinos."Too much heat or too much cold twists their brains, witness Susan Collins (groan, what a frozen-brain ditz) and Olympia Snowe from Maine, and Disloyal fried-brain McCain from Arizona.

The good old Democrat way.
This is known as voting as a sure enough absentee.

Zell's in great shape. Have Zell climb Mount Rushmore - that ought to do it.

"I'm from Sioux Falls, born in McKennan Hospital."
I'm really sorry about that, but it's not my fault...
j/k -- you know how us West River guys are!
I was in N.C., not far from the coast, for 2 years with the military. Got tired of hiding under mattresses when hurricanes came blowing through and was never so glad as to get back to the Wild West...
That said, I'm glad we've got at least one SD Republican down there voting in Florida this year. I'm next-door in Montana now, so all I can do is donate cash to Thune, bend relative's ears over the phone and when I'm home on visits, and pray...

Check out my web site (tag line). My great granddad was early S.D. GOP. His story and photo's on my Pioneer or Prairie Page, can't remember what it's called. I may get movie rights for his story.

A few days ago Rush talked about an ad Daschle has which features himself being hugged by President Bush. Essentially saying Daschle is running on the idea that Bush followed his lead on national security. Have you seen this? Anyone know if there's an online link to it? I was floored to hear about it.

ARE YOU SERIOUS ON THIS? BECAUSE IF YOU ARE, I WOULD SAY THIS IS SOLID CREDIBLE EVIDENCE THAT DASCHLE WILL DEFINITELY BE BEAT!!! He must have many more Republics than that to win.
