Dukakis was loser who never would have won. But there's also no question at all that Lee Atwater's dirty tricks and lies helped push him. Thats just history, straight from the mouth of Atwater.

She was obviously traumatized by the beating her candidate took in '88. Like Kerry, that loss is seared -- seared! -- into her memory like a Christmas in Cambodia. Like Gore, her loss has caused her to lose touch with reality. I pity her, but there are public mental health programs to help those who are so afflicted.
