Little Saigon hosted a most happy BUSH Party last night honoring his TV Acceptance Speech.

Today's Orange County Register Photo Caption, Page 11:

"FLAG and FLOWERS: Ronnie Guyer, 62, celebrates at Emerald Bay Restaurant as President GEORGE W. BUSH accepts the Republican nomination for a second term. "JOHN KERRY helped defeat freedom," said Guyer, a Republican campaign coordinator.

Excerpt:

"During BUSH's speech, Ronnie Guyer, 62, stood up and waved an American flag over his head, hooting his support.

"Guyer. a Vietnam Veteran and campaign coordinator for the Orange County Republican Party Headquarters in Little Saigon, said he felt solidarity with Vietnames-Americans.

"'They love their Freedom. JOHN KERRY helped defeat freedom," he said. "President BUSH will protect us by spreading freedom throughout the world."

Yeah, Baby! The Vietnamese I know aren't too thrilled with the American left and it's supine love affair with commies. I used to teach ESL to Hmong folks and I always discussed the importance of the 2A with them - they knew instinctually how important this is. Property rights are hot topics with them as well since they all know that commies simply take what belongs to others.

VC Kerry is on trial in public opinion and he ain't doing to well with those in the population that can remember from one day to the next. I wonder if commies and paint huffers are the only ones left in his camp?

I was born in Vietnam and have many relatives still over there. All my relatives that live here now are disgusted that Kerry is running for President but even more disgusted that he is using his service as the main (or only) platform for election.

When I was in California last winter, I was in Garden Grove. The Vietnamese we lived among and worshipped with were awesomely wonderful people. Please give them my love.

That's the sentiment that I got from the Vietnamese-American community. They think the idea for American voting for Kerry is so absurd!!! With the experience of knowing the real record behind this guy, they can't tolerate the idea of John F'in Kerry rewriting history.

Kerry had great disdain for the (ARVN)Army of the Republic of South Vietnam troops and preferred the Communist North Vietnamese as you can see from Kerry's testimony:

Senator AIKEN. Do you believe the North Vietnamese would seriously undertake to impede our complete withdrawal?

Mr. KERRY. No, I do not believe that the North Vietnamese would and it has been clearly indicated at the Paris peace talks they would not.

Senator AIKEN. Do you think they might help carry the bags for us? [Laughter.] [Applause.]

Mr. KERRY. I would say they would be more prone to do that than the Army of the South Vietnamese. [Laughter.] [Applause.]

The real Vietnam veterans have this say about the phony "heroes" like John Kerry:

"We can hear you out there
You occupy the barstools of Americas imagination
You take advantage of patriotism
While enjoying the freedoms those you mock have fought for
Those freedoms that our brothers have died for
You think you can hide behind those freedoms
But we will find you
You will pay for your lies
And here you will be exposed"

The Orange County Register

SANTA ANA – They sang the U.S. and the Vietnamese national anthems, then sat down to a five-course Vietnamese dinner. It was a convention-watching party and a blending of cultures.

About 60 people, half of whom were Vietnamese- Americans, gathered Thursday night at Emerald Bay Restaurant to watch President George W. Bush again accept the party's nomination.

Bachlien TranBatdorf, who organized the event for the Orange County Vietnamese- American Committee for Bush/Cheney '04, said this election year is especially important to her community.

"We used to live in Vietnam under communist rule. It's no different from terrorism. We know what it's like, and we know we need to take action," she said. "Republican principles support freedom."

After the national anthems and recital of the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation in English was followed by a prayer in Vietnamese, led by Buddhist leader Thich Tri Thu.

During Bush's speech, Ronnie Guyer, 62, stood up and waved an American flag over his head, hooting his support.

Guyer, a Vietnam veteran and campaign coordinator for the Orange County Republican headquarters in Little Saigon, said he felt solidarity with Vietnamese-Americans.

"They love their freedom. John Kerry helped defeat freedom," he said. "President Bush will protect us by spreading freedom throughout the world."

The restaurant's dining room was decked in American flags and banners that declared "4 more years" and "God Bless America." Tables dressed in white linens and red, white and blue napkins were covered with steaming bowls of hot and sour seafood soup, beef with Chinese cabbage and Vietnamese deep- fried chicken.

Le Thanhnhan, 59, an electronics technician from Gardena, set down his bowl of soup to say that he appreciated Bush's emphasis on education.

"Education reform, that every child will not be left behind, that's a great commitment," he said. "And in the situation we have, we need strong leaders."

Margaret Cummings, 71, of Westminster came by herself to the convention-watching party. "I'm a Christian. To me, George Bush is a Christian. He takes 'under God' seriously."
