I was glad to see (ex military? reserves?) civilians rushing to the fight with "Tigr rifles" (semiauto Druganovs) etc.

I was very proud to see EMTs, fire fighters and ordinary civilians rushing the building to fight the fire and rescue children, just yards behind the commandos, under direct fire.

Compare that to the Colombine cops.

In a small ville that'll be the case always. In USA LEO's would have cordoned off the area and arrested anyone showing up armed to help..... As I looked at the scene in russia I was thinking exactly that. The on scene commander had to be in complete panic mode when he lost control of the chaos at hand...... half killing and half trying help. Shooters under his command, shooters trying to help and killers all engaged. No a good place to be for victim or victor.....

Stay safe !
