Living in Rhode Island I can honestly say that NOBODY up here in New England is excited about or even lukewarm towards Kerry. Many of my Union hack, A.B.B. neighbors will hold their noses and vote Kerry but I can almost guaruntee that W does better in Mass., RI, and Conn. than he did in 2000.
Check out these #'s!
Which sport is John Kerry really a fan of?
Baseball 3%
Football 2%
Polo 95%

Which of the following is your favorite Democratic Senator?
John Kerry 2%
Hillary Clinton 3%
Ted Kennedy 5%
Zel Miller 91%

That was Courtney Love who said, "Yeah right, Al. Name a song."

Thanks. I had forgotten just which singer said it.

I thought it was a fantastic put-down. :=) Good for her.

This from somebody who was there:The soldier seated next to him at the start of the game was escorted out and sent to the next to last row in the grandstand after the second inning.

Are you serious???

What do you think of Kevin Brown breaking his hand by punching the wall? I never want to see him in pinstripes again, and I hope the Yankees void his contract.

Incredibly stupid. At least Paul O'Neill had the (relatively) good sense to punch soft targets. .....like platic bottles atop water coolers. Brown has always been a time bomb, so this isn't exactly surprising. Yep, yesterday could very well have been his last outing as a Yankee.

How about Mariano giving up 4 hits and 4 runs in the 9th inning of a 7 - 0 loss today? The Yanks - who had the best record in baseball just a few short weeks ago - could very well end up not making the playoffs.

Good Lord! No wonder the ball hit the ground early. Look how he's holding it! He's never even played catch! A klutz like that could hurt himself donchaknow, especially if holding, pulling a pin and trying to throw a grenade.

Good catch. He's palming the ball (when it should be held by the fingers).

lol.....yep, that grenade he threw (in that skinny nation in SE Asia) probably traveled about 20 feet. ....tops.

HaHa!!!He's palming it alright! Zero athletic skill!
Laura Ingraham often plays the cut of Kerry bragging that he still walks around with a piece of shrapnel in his leg from Vietnam.
Rumor has it that Kerry threw [or didn't throw] the grenade himself!!!

Now We Know!

Date on the article should be July 26, 2004. Thought it sounded familiar. Kerry used the ladies tees and still couldn't reach the plate. Loser.

Odds are that is precisely what happened. His girlie-boy athleticism prevented his grenade toss from traveling a safe distance, and the shrapnel he got in his ass as a result got him a purple heart.

Once a klutz always a klutz, ever noticed that?
Remember Gerald Ford and the Chevy Chase SNL skit?

Well…..sometimes I hate to admit it but I'm from Massachusetts. One day our junior Senator sKerry decides to take a road bike ride. You know he owns a Serotta, a $2,500+ custom made rich man's bike.
Anyway he's riding through my hometown of Concord, hits a patch of sand over near Walden Pond, veers into the oncoming traffic lane, barely misses a car and then falls off his bike, scraping up his leg.

Sound like a klutz to you?

Picture him palming that baseball, now picture him palming a grenade that same way with that same stupid smile. Shrapnel in the leg? makes complete sense now, doesn't it?. It's no wonder he can't release his military records. Max Cleland and he both sustained self-inflicted grenade injuries! Can you imagine if that truth came out?

Yep that's our junior Senator sKerry!

From Anne Coulter's most recent article on the Swift Boat veterans:

"Most recently, Kerry has had to backpedal on the circumstances surrounding his first Purple Heart. Kerry has described the action on Dec. 2, 1968, for which he received a Purple Heart as his "first intense combat." The Swift Boat veterans say Kerry came under no enemy fire that day and that his injury, such as it was, resulted from the ricochet of a grenade fired by Kerry himself."

How satisfying! The link on post 22 explains it all!!!

"What do you think of Kevin Brown breaking his hand by punching the wall? I never want to see him in pinstripes again, and I hope the Yankees void his contract."

When the Yanks first got him, I instinctively penciled Brown in for about 10-12 wins -- figuring he'd implode or get hurt anyway.

The man is devoid of any discipline or common sense.

The way I see it, being a "Yankee" means having discipline. Self-control. Courage. Focus. Execution...

So far, too many of THIS year's Yanks fail in those expectations.

The few exceptions are: El Duque, Mo, Flash, Jeter, Sheffield, Matsui, Clark, and Cairo.

The rest are running on "E", mediocre, just plain incompetent, or STICK-A-FORK-IN-THEM.
