Your are very correct. My late Vietnam Vet husband was refused a membership in the American Legion because they told him he was NOT welcome because he wasn't in a REAL WAR. I will never forget that as long as I live. I cry often over what he went thru. He is with God now and has Peace. John Kerry is unfit for command. He's a traitor.

I am so sorry to read that, so sorry for the pain you both went through. I was with an older cousin of mine over the weekend who became red faced and angry over the lies he was told and the lies he believed during the late 1960s. He told me he wasted almost two decades of his life seeing everything through the prism of Viet Nam politics. But what made him really angry was that he took a side that hurt so many honorable men. As my grandfather once told me, sometimes doing the right thing seems to have no rewards, but doing the wrong thing casts a long and painful shadow, even when you are the only one who knows.

"I cry often over what he went thru. He is with God now and has Peace." I'm sorry for your loss of your husband, he was surely a good man and a brave soldier. God's peace and blessings to you.
