In his defense, he had been sent to a foreign land to fight a war that we weren't trying to win, he had been injured badly, and WORSE he was a pariah from society and friends when he returned, and people threw feces at him and hurled insults at him. If ever there was a situation to draw a man to evil this is one of them.And people like JOhn Kerry and his pal, Jane Fonda, knew just how to attack their tortured souls.
Telling the truth now does not excuse his past behavior, or that of the other VVAW liars. He harmed many including his fellow Vets. But he is trying to make it right the only way he can, and for that I thank him.
John Kerry admits he made up all his atrocity stories, now we know that John Kerry pressured other tortured Vets to make up and tell atrocity stories-- John Kerry is a man that should make any right-thinking American sick.
