Nope, totally different hack. They've got lots of 'em.
I agree. I think it's very authentic and he has such a plain eloquence that the malapropisms are endearing and reassuring. This one was certainly funny.
You can't imagine that John Kerry's comment about a gun at the debate was unintentional or funny. It is like his earlier comment about regime change. There's an underlying violent implication in many of his statements that is disturbing.
OBs of the World Unite!
Be free to practice your love with women all over the US!
(And why didn't I go to medical school?)
Actually, it does. For example, in a speech the other day Kerry meant to say "I fully stand behind the use of preemptive force in the War on Terror", and it accidentally came out as, "Wrong War. Wrong Place. Wrong Time."
I'm sure he just hates it when that happens.
And yet no story from the AP about how they totally fabricated a lie about the audience booing on Friday?
Exactly. Go see him in person, and you'll love him even more. It feels like there's more of a connection then. Plus, the media picking on him makes me even more defensive of him. An aquaintance of mine (formerly considered a friend, but no more) insulted Bush Sunday, and if he weren't over 60 with a heart ailment.... Anyone who hates this man is not worthy of associating with. At the best, they show complete ignorance and lack of judgement. Not the kind of people best to hang around. I am near the point of kicking ass when I hear him bad-mouthed.
While sappy, the line could stand as delivered. Wasn't the president saying that ob/gyn's do something incredibly positive for expectant mothers?
"Childish, third-grade, gutter mentality. What a moronic bunch of pricks."
AP; natch! Where's Rooters on this?
"Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."
:^)))

The article is still out there on Lexis-Nexis. It was never deleted.
LOL!
Different hack, similar style.
Actually, here in Dayton we DID have a doctor who "practiced his love" with his women. He was called "the Love Doctor," and he gave women clitoris surgery to "enhance" their sexuality while he had them under for other procedures. Shades of Nip/Tuck!
What did the AP say when Kerry said he wanted to train more Special Forces troops to commit terrorist attacks? What did they say when he was talking about hair Pollution in Harlem? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
I saw the excerpt on TV last night..and it did not sound as bad as it is "written"...I think he meant their "love of their work"... you can see that he is not reading a script and talking off the cuff..the press is just hanging on every word, trying for a goof -up. I was amazed that some political analysists do not even see this issue of OB-GYNs a problem!!!
I knew immediately what Bush meant...that doctors love to practice medicine, love to help women give birth to babies, that those fine men of medicine are being forced out of doing what they love to do because of high insurance premiums, brought on by greedy lawyers instigating frivolous law suits.
So what if Bush made a goofy mistake in speech? Pouncing on this, just proves how desperate the media is to help Kerry out.
Sound effect: (crickets chirping). Deafening silence when Kerry gaffes.
I'd like the geniuses at AP to explain exactly what is wrong with this sentence.
If an OB/GYN physician has a love of practicing Obstetric and Gynecological medicine, he practices his love and certainly not with men...QED.
