"There's a Yugoslavia variant here," Putin warned, according to notes taken by participant Eileen O'Connor, The Washington Post reported. "It would be difficult to imagine the consequences for the rest of the world. Bear in mind Russia is a nuclear power."

Let Putin release the dogs of war.

While I have enormous sympathy for the Russian people, and especially the people of Beslan, I have none for Putin. He could have joined us in this very real world war, but chose to side with Chirac and Schroeder.

"Let Putin release the dogs of war."

Putin sees things from a different aspect than we do. Remember, we were on the side of the islamic dogs in two conflicts (or conflict areas; Balkans and Afghanistan). One directly involving Russia.

We stood on the other side of the valley in both cases and aided the Islamics. Have we aided the Chechnians in any way? Did we use them for "reconnaissance work" against the Russians. Remember, there are lot's of CIA types who are still angry with the Russians.

We attack Iraq, yet have good relations with one of the main funders and suppliers of manpower for terrorism (everywhere-even against ourselves), the Saud i's.

Look carefully at how weird this looks to the Russians, they do not see us as truly against Islamic terrorism. Heck most of us don't really see our resolve. The Russians are not as good at wishy washy thinking as our state department is.

I am no fan of the Russians but this has a side that many are all not looking at too carefully.
