PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — President Bush returned to storm-battered Florida on Wednesday for the third time in 31/2 weeks, this time surveying damage from Hurricane Frances (search), helping hoist emergency supplies into cars and assuring residents that billions of dollars in federal aid was coming.

Bush signed a bill Wednesday morning allocating $2 billion in emergency money to deliver disaster relief to areas reeling from two hurricanes, and a spokesman said he planned to ask for still more aid soon.

After landing in West Palm Beach, Bush flew by o one car and asked, "What can we help you with, ice? Water? A little food?" The Bushes were flanked by aid workers and other volunteers.

The reporter from FNC reported that the president stayed longer then originally planned and helped with the distribution of the cases of bottled water and other supplies.

Anyone think Kerry would do that?

Kerry would order his manservant to do so.

I think Kerry prefers his water slightly chilled in a crystal carafe.

Kerry would be passing out bottles of Heinz Ketchup and would be demanding payment so high he would be charged with price gouging.

How dare you question Kerry's patriotism! Kerry has been very vocal in his opposition to hurricanes for many years. But anyone can see this was the wrong hurricane in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone knows you can't just unilaterally fight a hurricane. You have to build an international coalition and enlist the support of the international community. The United States is paying more than 95% of the price of fighting this hurricane. John Kerry would have done it better smarter faster and more cheaply. Why is Bush spending billions of dollars on hurricane relief in Florida when the inner cities have been devastated by 16 years of neglect from 2001 to 2004 and from 1981 to 1992?

Before or after his manservant prepared the requisite PB&J Sandwich (on Sunbeam bread, I would imagine) for his nibs?

Don't worry, when Kerry sees a photo op, he will be down there in Florida like he did when Charley went through.

I watched that on Fox. He just loves that kind of stuff.

It looked like he slowed the line down a bit, because he and Jeb would lean into the car to talk to everyone.

They both looked like they were enjoying visiting with people.

Kerry would have his peanut-butter&jelly sandwich lackey, taking care of this medial task. It hink this is beneath the alleged blue-blood rules to stoop so low as to help the common people.
