The "funny" part of it is that Ben and the rest of the Sharpstown Bank pocket stuffers managed to accelerate the turn of Texas to republicans (it started with John Tower). My memory is that about 50% of the lege got voted out of office over the Sharpstown deal and all of them were dims.
I was glad to be part of the Republican takeover of Texas -- now if I can be part of one here in Oklahoma after moving here after Kelly AFB was closing, then it will be something. Eighty years since Republicans were tied in the House with the Rats and we have only been a state since 1907. This could be the year Republicans take the House in OK!
