Something just occured to me. Though he may have used an 8mm camera for his battle reenactments, if he was filming an interview with himself, with audio, he must have also had a 16mm camera setup, since at that time, I'm pretty sure that no 8mm sound camera equipment existed that he would have had access to. Either that, or he was recording the audio on simple audio tape, to be synced later.

That's very interesting. I don't know too much about 8mm and whether it (eventually) had sound. I don't think so. My Dad was the king of home movies with his 16mm camera. He eventually got an 8mm, no sound, but he never liked the quality as much as he did his 16mm.

Kerry mocks Iwo Jima flag raising on the cover. I just read that O'Neill's father, who later became a rear admiral, fought in Iwo Jima. This really IS personal for him, as well it should be.
