“We believe a day's work is worth a day's pay, and at a time when women still earn 77 cents for every dollar earned by men, we need stronger equal pay laws and stronger enforcement of them.”

If this were really true, then evil, greedy corporations, whose only concern is bottom line profits, could immediately save 23% on labor costs by firing all the men and hiring women in their place. "Broadsourcing," I'll call it. The fact they don't do this either means corporations have other concerns, or that women are not drop-in replacements for men at 77% of the pay, despite the oft-repeated sound-bite of 'rat rhetoric.

Brilliant! Thank you!

I'm a lady. I have a nice set of Porter-Cable power tools. I have some lovely guns (not enough, though). I can break a horse and drive a tractor. I can write a book, sew a dress, put on a dinner party, put up a studwall, dance at a ball, exploit a diplomatic reception, earn my own living. I am a competent person and do not need the Democratic Party to rearrange society for my benefit, essentially putting the other half of society into economic slavery to make things easier for me. I thought the Democrats weren't in favor of slavery?
