And another thing (an unrelated yet related item!)...I read on FR several times over several days that Barnes wasn't even Lt Gov when Bush first entered the Natl Guard, so how did that play out on 60 minutes?

I read that on FR a couple of days ago but hadn't read it since. Wondering how to confirm it?

Now, hold on just a minute. Barnes said on sixty minutes that the Bush family never contacted him directly, only the friends of the Bush family. But he he he, I'm glad he was misunderstood.

"Now, I need some popcorn, this has gotten really interesting."

"Forget the popcorn. Let's throw a full tailgate party watching the Democrats crash and burn on this issue. "

Steak, lobster and champagne all around!

Anyone been to DU today? I'd go but then I'd have to take a shower.

Re: "Better be beef jerky AND popcorn, then. Need that protien"

You will have to wait awhile for jerky. It will take time to cure all the raw meat being served up today.

:-D

Don't worry of it although you can google for the list of past Texas Lt governors which I did. It is a moot point now since Barnes told Rather that he used his influence as Speaker of the House and Lt Governor. He covered his tracks from his first statement that he did it as Lt Governor.

Democrats are usually very good at slinging mud. Can't quite get the hang of it this year, though. Perhaps mud doesn't stick to a good man.

>>>WOW. Now, I need some popcorn, <<<

Fantastic idea! Heading to the stove and going to turn on FOX and watch the "fire"!

CBS, ABC and The (Former) Kerry Campaign may soon be toast!!

I don't really blame Barnes. After all, he's into Kerry's campaign for at least $100,000. Gotta protect his investment.

OK he covered his tracks on this one. But didn't he testify under oath earlier that he did pull strings for Bush. He's an admitted liar. Only a fool would believe someone like that.

Also, wasn't Barnes up to his neck in sleazy dealings as a public official? I'm sure CBS brought all this out in their piece.

Wow....first the documents and now this!!!!!!!!!

The possibility of forgery aside, I am aghast that CBS, Dan Blather, would use anything other than original and credible evidence, when he sets out to create a program to be viewed by the entire world. A program clearly designed with intentions of damaging the reputation the President of the United States during a time of War is unforgivable. This is so unpatriotic it makes me ill.

In my view, this is far more than trying to screw with an election. This is the kinda thing that puts our Country in further jeopardy and on a personal level, my loved ones.

All of America should see CBS for what it is and act accordingly. Blather should be fired immediately. Other than the horror of 911, it is reckless and/or corrupt news media figures, such as this jerk, that has done far more damage to our Country than the Terrorists have managed to accomplish.

What's next?

I expect the Dems to announce that Pres Bush's family was involved in the death of Elvis Presley back in '77.

They viewed Elvis as a threat to the rising power of the Bush family.

I've seen some down-in-the-mud eye-gouging campaigns in my time, but this one is by far the roughest. You can almost see the ballistic missile flying back and forth between the camps.
