WOW! Dan Rather has wasted "60 MINUTES" with a liar and forged memos....CBS MUST BE PROUD. Chalk up more votes for Bush, this gets better and better.
Says her dad has a book coming out and is trying to advance his own political career -- hitched his wagon to Kerry about three years ago. When asked point-blank if her father was lying about Bush, she said, "Yes."

Wow if this is true what a double whammy, the day after CBS thought they had a coup de gras(sp?) on Bush it all comes tumbling down.

Heard it. WBAP this morning. Monica Crowley filling in for Mark Davis. Barnes daughter calls in to basically say her father is lying and his motivation is for Kerry victory (and pay-back implied)

Watch this space! Dan Rather (CBS - 60 Minutes) announces he just printed out some proof that Barne's daughter ALSO missed her National Guard assignments and is therefore not to be believed.
I wonder how big of a No good SOB you have to be to have your daughter say this about you.
At first when I listed to talk radio yesterday about Barnes and how he had said under oath that no one in the Bush family had pressured him to get Bush into the Texas Air National Guard and now he was saying he lied under oath and now understood things differently, red flags went up.
If a daughter is now saying her dad is a liar, I guess it says a lot about Texas Politics.
I am sure some are saying that "its just politics, don't take it seriously." I guess CBS 60 Minutes needs to reflect on Stephen Glass and also on the New York Times and do some introspection on honest journalism.
