I've been following this breathlessly all day on FR, not daring to believe it could really be a forgery. Now I will make my first contribution.

What happened here on Free Republic today was nothing short of historic. We've been reading a lot about about the role "new" media, blogs, etc., have been playing lately, but NOTHING has proven this dynamic shift more than today's events. It will take a little bit of time for us to get perspective, but we saw a seismic shift today.

Power to the people, indeed.

I share your excellent analysis. This is indeed an epic event in the annals of media whorishness. The red light over CBS's door flickered and went out today.

I probably didn't contribute a thing to the uncovering of this scandal, but I sure am proud to have been, if nothing else, part of the FR cheering section. We Freepers really are a significant part of 2004 election history. Pretty remarkable, really.
