Rather is on the street today defending the story and saying it's true.
He is the power behind CBS news. He runs it completely. Nothing happens on CBS news unless he wants it to run.
It is my opinion that he wanted to run this even though there was division among the producers about it because of doubts about the documents' authenticity.
The story originated out of the county where his daughter is an elected Rat (as per Rush this morning) and this Ben Barnes character that 60 minutes interviewed is a power broker in that county and was a big fundraiser for his daughter.
Let's not forget Rather going to the fundraiser for his daughter (it was an accident of course because he had no idea that it was a fundraiser) when she was running for election in this county.
Rather is so biased that everyone in the media would admit it.
The reason this story ran is because Dan Rather is a Rat hit man and nobody can deny it.
So right on! This is one of those "existential" moments liberals love to dazzle us with.
well Dean, to his credit, actually believed in what he was saying. Unlike Kerry that is....
Dean would have been much harder to beat, but not impossible.

Well if you do know about this, then you would also know why the White House is taking the stance that is has. It would serve you to read the threads and get some thick skin, as well.

Flaminco. The WH is just doing what they do very well... sitting back and letting the Dems implode all by themselves. They will let the MSM and all the other pundints (including us) have their way with this and come out smelling like a rose. The WH has a very good track record with this approach. No knee-jerk decisions allowed.
And evidence that these are falsified documents may just be the plunger that gets that SOMEONE's career moving down the drain.
