Who still watches CBS for news?

Really! I couldn't even tell you what channel or what time that mess is on TV. Who cares, except for the amusement factor when the flub up.

I agree. Change the channel. But the entire episode should not just be shrugged off as a dirty trick or an example of media bias.

This is altering/forging military records in an attempt to unseat a sitting president.

I don't think CBS intentionally concocted fake documents. In their sheltered, group-think world, they convinced themselves the documents were real and ran with the story.
