DNC head: Bush lied (DNC supports forged documents)
UPI ^ | 09.10.2004

Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe said more than a dozen times Friday that President Bush had lied to the American public.

. . . [snip] . . .

CBS is standing by the document, and McAuliffe said Friday the Democrats stood by it as well. DNC spokesman Jano Cabrera would not speculate on whether the party would disavow the report if the documents were proven to have been forged, despite Democrats' repeated calls on Bush to disavow attacks on Kerry's military record.

Reading between the lies, this still requires Rather and the bunch at CBS to be absolute morons.

I hate my excerpt job. It appears that the DNC claims Bush lied about the forged documents. I simply wanted to include the first paragraph highlight the point I found most interesting.

As they say, read the whole thing.

HAHA! I fully intended to write "lines" but subconsciously dropped the "n".

But I thought McAuliffe said they were a Rove creation...so he's standing up for Rove???? (this is almost getting too weird to keep up with)

DAN RATHER’S FORGED DOCUMENTS – DANNY BOY NEEDS TO PROVE EACH OF THESE POINTS TO SUBSTANTIATE HIS CLAIM THAT HIS DOCUMENTS ARE REAL

1-- proportional spacing not generally available

2 -- superscripts not generally available

3 - small "th" single element not generally available

4 - Smart quotes. Curved apostrophes and quotation marks were not available

5-The blurriness of the copy indicates it was recopied dozens of times, tactic of forgers

6--Signature block. Typical authentic military signature block has name, then rank, then on the next line the person's position. This just has rank beneath the name.

7--Margins. These look like a computer's unjustified default, not the way a person typing would have done it.

8 -- Date usually with three letters, or in form as 110471.

9 - words run over consistent with word processor

10 - may be a Times Roman or similar font not generally available then (per Haas Atlas)

11 - signature looks faked

12 - no errors and whiteout

13 - no letterhead

14 - exact match for Microsoft Word Processor

15 - Paper size problem, Air Force and Guard did not use 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper until the 1980s.

16 - Overlap analysis is an exact match

17 - absence of hyphens to split words between lines, c/w 1970's typewriter.

18 - 5000 Longmont #8 in Houston Tx. does not exist

19 - Box 34567 is suspicious, at best. The current use of the po box 34567 is Ashland Chemical Company, A Division of Ashland Oil, Incorporated P. O. Box 34567 Houston

20 - it would have been nearly impossible to center a letterhead with proportional spacing without a computer.

21 - Bush's grade would "normally" be abbreviated "1Lt" not "1st Lt"

22 - Subject matter bizarre

23 - Air Force did not use street addresses for their offices, rather HQ AFLC/CC, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433.

24 - kerning was not available

25 - In the August 18, 1973 memo, Jerry Killian purportedly writes: "Staudt has obviously pressured Hodges more about Bush. I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job." but General Staudt, who thought very highly of Lt. Bush, retired in 1972.

26 - Language not generally used by military

27 - Not signed or initialed

28 - Not in any format that a military person would use, e.g. orders not given by Memo.

Wait -- didn't McAuliffe implicitly agree that the memos were fakes earlier today when he said they were planted by Carl Rove?

Kerry is being pressured to sign the 180 and release his docs. The dems are fearful and thought they'd try a trial release and see if phonied documents would pass mustard in the press and scrutiny of the public.

If the phony Bush documents did, then they could post phony Kerry documents silencing the critics.

It's all part of a vast right wing conspiracy don't cha know?

The Democrats have never had a problem with lying. Their ethics are that of the Great Impeached and now Kerry. Anything it takes to win, conventional morality be damned.

So McAwful stands behind the documents he accuses Karl Rove of planting?

Note: the 7/28 is not exact. It simply represents the "we have had these documents and working on this story for 6 weeks", which is what CBS has contended. There are events before it, but I put together the timeline based on those statements and to keep it reasonable.

This is great. The more the Dems talk about it, the more they associate themselves with it. This forgery is a real 'tar-baby', and the whole party is gonna get dirty before it's all over.

CBS is standing by the document, and McAuliffe said Friday the Democrats stood by it as well.
They--the Network and their Party, the Democrats--have begun to man the barricades, fellow Freakers. They are all staking everything against the authenticity of documents so clearly and clumsily forged that it only took a day to completely debunk them.

They have gone into total Clinton-deny-the-sky-is-blue and pray-the-weather-changes-fast mode.

Who are they protecting? And why?

McAuliffe's more tone deaf than William Hung. The entire Democratic establishment is clinging to a life raft made of cement.

That's all they got.
They created hundreds of documents to drip out to the election, and now they have nothing.
