Just a little flashback/history lesson for you non-Texans.

True and a lot of people at TI had their accounts tied up for a long time.
Ben Barnes should have went to jail over his part in the Sharpstown bank.
I don't understand how he skated.

Thanks, I've been wondering about the Barnes fraud story. Heard about it, but didn't understand it.

Boy this is going to sound like hearsay because I can only remember the gist of it, but here goes... This morning on KTOK AM radio in OKC, a guy came on and said he used to live in Texas and there was an FBI investigation there during the early 70's regarding this dude. Does anyone know about that? I was only half listening but there was something about scandal and money - I don't know the exact amount but I remember it being stated as several million. The caller guy said it could be verified by files the FBI has. Any thoughts?

My grandparents knew Frank Sharp socially, and they thought he was as crooked as a dog's hind leg.
My parents, on several occasions, made remarks over the family dinner table regarding Ben Barnes - none of them "positive."
In short, Ben Barnes and Frank Sharp had a lot in common.
