HODGES SAID HE WAS MISLED BY CBS: Retired Maj. General Hodges, Killian's supervisor at the Grd, tells ABC News that he feels CBS misled him about the documents they uncovered. According to Hodges, CBS told him the documents were "handwritten" and after CBS read him excerpts he said, "well if he wrote them that's what he felt."
Hodges also said he did not see the documents in the 70's and he cannot authenticate the documents or the contents. His personal belief is that the documents have been "computer generated" and are a "fraud".
This is like some never ending series of explosions.

Hodges should go on TV and say this!..He's the one I've been waiting to hear from!

By now anyone with an open mind has to say not only are the letters a fraud, but 60 minutes and Dan Rather are also frauds, and perpetrators of a fraud.
Partisan politics is one thing but deliberately putting on a so-called news show fraudulently should be just cause for FCC suspension of licensing rights.
I am sure that Hodges will be interviewed by others...and it seems ABC may take it up since they know Fox will, in any case. I am convinced the documents are forgeries, which means this story will fall apart with continued scrutiny. Eventually, someone on the inside of the provenance of the documents will take money to talk.
Join the millions of others who have been duped over the years.

The tiny sand bar Rather and CBS News are standing on is rapidly washing away. There is no way CBS can continue to stone wall this.
The MSM is already beating the snot out of Rather and it will continue apace. I'm just waiting for the first MSM story connecting the fraudulent documents to the Kerry campaign or the DNC.

Why do you think people with a brain run when a 60 minutes camera shows up? Mother Theresa would crumble under their tactics.
At the top, and in many places inbetween, CBS is revealing itself to be a lair of cretins.
Rather has revealed himself for the political hack he is.
People are concentrating on those documents...because they are forgeries, fake, and a slap in the face of a free and thinking people. Those forgeries lay the foundation for the more relevent parts of the story and establish the whole thing as nothing but a sham and cheap political hack job.
If Rather thinks so little of the people of this country whom he tries to speak to...and it is clear that he believes we are idiots...then he had best be prepared for a continued fight until the truth of this obviious sham is made known from the rooftops and until his credentials and career are laid low in the mud from whence they have sprung.
Can we start with the 60 minutesII crew? ;-)
