Print out the Word doc and copy it a few times to shrink it - it will probably fit perfect...

Precisely. The forgers copied the word processed original several times to give it that rough "typewriter" look.
BTW, CBS made the "mistake" of publishing the documents on pdf format on its website. It's the same mistake (sort of) that Nixon made in keeping the tapes. Had the docs not been posted, they couldn't have been analyzed, and debunked.

Anyone, I mean ANYONE, taking a look at these documents could have seen that they were not from the 70s.
I don't understand how this is even still a point of contention.
1) Dan Rather and anyone associated with putting this story should be fired.
2) If we track where those fakes came from, undoubtedly it will lead to someone at the DNC or the Kerry Campaign.
I guess I understand how the doc's authenticity is still a point of contention... no one wants to know where they came from for fear of completely blowing up Kerry's campaign.
No one except for people like us.
