I'd be happy to watch on Pay For View.
OMG. You are absolutely right. The media will desperately do *anything* to draw attention away from the actions of Islamic terrorists.
From there, the local news covered it.
All day, people seemed to be stopping by, looking at the "Unity Flag" as well as walking through the flag field. Festivities conclude tomorrow.
It was heart wrenching seeing some of the Vets just stop and pause in the midst of the flags. It was all I could do to dry my own (unexpected) tears, and walk up to them to say "thank you."
Thanks for the report. (And I am still trying to figure out how to pronounce your name.)
I would hardly call it suicide either way. They were already dead. It was simply their choice as to which way to die - burn or jump.
k-stew-skis :)
Pleased to meet you, k. And I hope you really do give your Liberal patients an extra little twist on the arm (especially their voting arm) when you're working on them. They're always talking about feeling OUR pain -- let them feel some of their own!!
The first time I ever saw those photos was on Free Republic. It was the most shocking sight I had ever seen.
that is so incredibly sad and so incredibly human...that they would hold hands to their deaths.
i have such a fear of heights and ...well it bothers me that those bin laden bozos would do that to every american if they could,.
You got it Speedy! They'll laugh (or scream) as I'm "twisting their arm" when they see my recent bumper sticker, proudly displayed on my truck parked outside the clinic:
Likewise meeting you too :)
See you later -- getting late here in the effete East. Keep on doing the Twist!! (And keep that sticker in their faces -- I guess with ASU in Tempe, you have your share of lefties, too.)
It is clear to me why we are no longer united. The democrats have seen to it that we are not with a series of lies, half truths, and downright disgusting behavior designed to tear us apart so they can regain power. This is the truth of the matter.
I guess what bothers me is that they are able to SELL that behavior to a substantial percentage of the population, LIR. But you nailed it -- no argument from me.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if your a floor or more above the point of impact and you've got a whole floor of approx 2000 degree flames below you and an incredible amount of smoke and obviously no means to get down via the elevators.
What would you do? It doesn't suprise me at all that folks who were obviously facing being burnt to death choice to end it quickly in hopes that it could somehow be a little less painful.
May God rest their souls.
To this day, the word suicide never crossed my mind. This was their only escape. To me the jumpers were heroic in the fact that they chose their fate by jumping, rather than to sit and be consumed by what the terrorists thrust upon them. In effect, it was an act of defiance. God rest their souls.
Thanks for the detailed reply...it is nice to know, at least, that some people up there in the liberal Northeast have their heads on right. :) RD
Keep Rolling against Muhammadanistic murderers...
...they could not have expected jihadists to slit the throats of stewards, stewardesses, passengers and pilots so they could attack the World Trade Center.

Bears repeating over and over again...
