I agree that the average person seems to be way ahead of these supposed reporters on TV. Another fine example was on display tonight as I watched Meet the Press. I had had enough and fired off this email:

Dear Mr. Russert, I am really embarassed for you, sir. I've just witnessed this interview with James Carville and you know very well the statistics of job loss after 9/11 - you also know the fact that we are helping the Iraqi people, that the brutal dictator of Saddam Hussein is in jail, and that we have made tremendous progress even though Al Qaeda is doing all they can to stop us, nonetheless an amazing amount of good has been done. For you to allow this bozo Mr. Carville to characterize the sacrifice of these good men & women as being totally worthless is highly offensive to me. I promise you one thing - I won't spend any more time watching your show. To allow your forum to be used for such a one sided presentation and distortion of the truth is truly disgraceful.

While an email from me isn't likely to be heard by anyone over at MSNBC, I can promise Mr. Russert 1 thing: I'll be cancelling out his vote with mine!
