...but in most cases, good luck to them trying to prove *when* the firearm was modified, unless you were actually caught in the act during the time the ban was in effect.

Well I guess I'll march down to the local BATF office and turn myself in. Or maybe not.

The point is, hillary and gang want to criminalize guns and gun ownership to the point that the Second Amendment is meaningless. A straight forward attempt to repeal the Second Amendment would meet stiff opposition and would expose the gun controllers to the apathetic masses which might result in the waking up of a group that the left has lulled to sleep.
