I wonder if it would be even more effective going to ABC, NBC, and CNN to insist coverage on this issue. CBS will want the issue to die, and is ignoring whomever complains. They probably figure that the people complaining aren't viewers anyway.

By going to the other networks, maybe this story will some serious legs.

Kerry and his crew have hired a tem of forgers to change/embellish/revise/improve/tweak the documents in Kerry's military file, a file he will eventually stop hiding. These folks, mostly pretty young, put together the Rayher forgeries, mostly as a joke or demonstration project. Kerry, not very bright and falling like a rock, decided to go with it and instructed Rather to spring the documents, grap the news on 9-11, take the high ground and change the subject from Kerry's record in the Senate and treason with the Cong. Simple as that!!

It is as basic as the media calling Bush the winner in Florida from a very small sample. Who's going to question the left wing media? The left-wingers accept what Rather says because he is Rather and they are left wingers. It is Willie's, "Because I could" arrogance.

But now, with us, he can't. This is one reason that we must put even more pressure on the media to force Traitor John to release his real military file. Some left wing media seem to have already broken with the other anti-Bush media to wuestion Rather's forgeries. ABC, CNN and the WP seem to clearly know that they are fake. Maybe, if they believe Gigilo John is toast, they'll begin asking what they would have asked long ago if he were a Republican.

On a more constructive note, I think that watching the blame game unfold here is the interesting piece. Are all reasonable 'chain of custody of those doucments' trails good for Bush? That is what I am trying to speculate on and thereby understand here.

Yes, "it has been reported", but the passive voice is the ban of reporting as this controversy shows. The American Spectator's "the Prowler" column reports that... - is the proper subject of that sentence. If we get some confirmation, great. And it is the most likely thing, certainly. But they haven't admitted it yet.

Also, am I the only one who sees a commie code in Rather's statement that they have "unimpeachable" sources? Is that meant to hint, "we can smash-mouth this the same as we did the impeachment fight; so we are guilty, so what, Clinton was guilty but we got him off"?

All reasonable? No. The actual? Yes. Hence the stonewalling and the lies. There isn't a span of options for writers of fiction, there is one actual truth in the matter, and it is damning. The Kerry campaign and DNC in full panic mode over the Swiftees planted a deliberate forgery as a smear to set up a moral equivalence defense. We aren't six years old here. We know what this is.

For those in Rio Linda, first line of the commie playbook says, "if you are about to do something, accuse the other guy of it first". They said the Swiftee charges were lies. That was a telegraph that they intended to lie about Bush in response to the Swiftee charges. Then they lie about Bush. If they get caught, they say it is the same thing as the Swiftees - having previously prepped that spin with the smear of the Swiftees. One smear is basis for the next. That is how you leave reality and fly off into the ideological ether. Each lie has some interpretation consistent with the other lies. Consistency with reality or reports of non-communists are immaterial. Because commies don't want to live in reality and do not listen to non-commies (they talk at them).

I have heard from a source in the Houston area that DAN RATHER'S DAUGHTER is believed to work for BEN BARNES. Yes, that BEN BARNES.

If true, that would explain a whole bunch. Does anyone have a way to dig into this?

I think the use of Marcel Matley (handwriting expert who also affirmed that Vince Foster's suicide note was authentic) is a big tip off to the source. I think someone related to the DNC or to Kerry (or both) dumped the documents and Matley into Rather's lap as a package deal.

"Dan Rather attended and spoke at a Texas Democrat fundraiser. His daughter is a budding politician in Texas and is part of the Democrat Party in the state. Rather claims he had no idea it was a fundraiser. Some hotshot journalist. Either he's a dummy or he's a liar."

Go to fundrace.org and type in "Rather" in Neighbor Search.
You'll notice in Robin's first contribution (to Howard Dean), she's listed as an unemployed environmentalist. Then suddenly she's giving $1500 to Kerry and she's CEO of Mind Wave Research. SOMETHING changed for her in a hurry, and Ben Barnes could surely have helped make it happen!

Rather's other voice on the nightly news performance was some guy, obvious liberal, named Strong. I felt that he was a good candidate for source. There has been a real lack of investigation of Strong. Can any freeper help point me to some investigation or get me started?
