Please don't insult the Newfoundlanders. When I lived in Taiwan for two years and had to deal with the obnoxious Canadians, "God I hate America" "Bush is evil" etc...the only voice of reason was my friend Lori, a proud daughter of Newfoundland. She taught me alot, including the following.
1) Understand. Newfoundland....it's not pronounced Newfindlind...but New Found Land.
2) Don't call them Newfies! They are Newfoundlanders.
