I think I finally figured out the DNC's modus operandi. Sure the Bush charges are ridiculous. But what they want is for the public to lump that in with the Swifties stuff so that basically people will think that the Swifties charges are also just a ridiculous, or that people get "Vietnam fatigue" and simply discount all talk of Vietnam stuff. That would at least neutralize the issue for Kerry, which would be a win for him. Don't let them get away with it.
